He Finds Me There

“Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence?

If I ascend to heaven, You are there!

If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there!

If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”

— Psalm 139:7–10

It doesn’t matter how far I’ve strayed or how deep I’ve fallen into shame. God always finds me. There have been moments when I’ve tried to hide, weighed down by mistakes and weariness, feeling like I can’t continue. Yet somehow, right in that place, He reaches me.

He whispers a word that revives my soul. He reminds me that I am not alone, that His presence was never lost. Whether in the heights of joy or the depths of despair, His hand still leads, and His love still holds.

No distance, no failure, no silence can separate us from His presence. He is always near…even there.

Reflection

Take a moment to think about where you’ve been trying to handle life on your own; the places in your heart where you’ve felt distant or hidden. Even there, God is present. His love doesn’t wait for you to have it all together; it meets you right where you are.

Let His presence quiet your striving today. He’s not asking you to run toward Him. He’s reminding you that He’s already there, waiting to lead you with His hand and hold you with His love.

No matter how far you’ve gone or how lost you’ve felt, He finds you there.
